Then he simply said, <em>\u201cI\u2019m trying to imagine the noises a baby will be making in this house . . .\u201d<\/em> It was such a sweet thought and such a foreign concept to us at the time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of my favorite Old Testament verses is <strong>Zephaniah 3:17.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I have always loved the simple yet wondrous truths listed in this verse. Our God is present. He saves. He rejoices over His people. He comforts us. But the thought of His singing is truly overwhelming to me. The Hebrew word for <em>singing<\/em> translates a \u201cringing cry\u201d or a \u201cjoyful shouting.\u201d I cannot imagine what that noise would sound like from the Creator of all things, much as I could not imagine what my own baby\u2019s cry would be like for my ears or especially for my heart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I simply love the thought of my heavenly Father making noise. He delights in His chosen people. And I can only liken it to how I take delight in my own daughters.
